Happy new year to you all! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season, and are ready to hit the courts next Wednesday!
I would like to introduce GROUP warm up exercises in 2025. This has been a topic of conversation with some of you, and it’s something that has been on my mind for a while.
There have been a number of muscular injuries last year that maybe would have been prevented with a proper warm up. Warming up and activating the muscles before playing should decrease the number of injuries. 💪💪
My suggestion is that WE ALL DO TOGETHER a 10 MINUTE SESSION of stretching/warming up exercises at the same time. This means we wouldn’t be touching the shuttles before 7.40-7.45pm on Wednesdays and 11.10-11.15am on Saturdays.
It would be good to have someone different leading the warm up every week. I will attempt to do the first week. As some of you know, I got a bad calf injury and I’m not ready to play yet, but I may be able to do some sort of exercises or at least guide you! I will be following this video to ensure we’re doing the right things:
